I wanted to ask you : do you think 3rd party diagnosis can check electric sliding doors sensors on a V-Class ?

My right electric sliding door stopped working and I suspect it is only a software issue, maybe resetting the error would get it working again.

Or do you think Xentry with an openport ODB can fix this ?

got some stimulus money, so would this be a good turn key out of the box kit? I have 2 w211 presently. but always can use it to fix newer Benz in the future.

In my experience, there is no real original diagnosis of MB. All claimed original is cloned. The price depends on the quality of the hardware. My MB Star was bought on https://ebay.us/kspBSR. C5 is the newest of the MB Star. Both C4 and C5 are designed for dealers to do everything on maintenance and repair for Mercedes. For a DIYer, the function is too powerful.

For 3rd party diagnosis, I recommend iCarsoft MBII for Mercedes Benz https://amzn.to/2SbcYMR, most of the maintenance and diagnosis can be done with it.
