Front Timing Cover Leak

Hi Senior Leigh,

First, thank you for all the videos you provide and assistance, they have been a great help to learning. I am just starting to work on our Mercedes. I was told that our 2014 E350 Sport RWD M276.952 has the same issue as Mr Hu. I was quoted around $1500+ and would like to tackle this myself too if I can.

As such I do not plan on starting immediately, but am preparing. I read through the comments and had an initial question. When you said, "If you can apply the sealant carefully and correctly, that's not a big deal.", could you elaborate on this. Do you have a video or can you point me to one that would show how to properly do this.

Hello, apologies...I saw the pdf you had attached.

Hello SIr, I was wondering if there is a pdf to remove the actual solenoid covers? Do I have to remove the individual solenoids before removing the cover or can I just remove the covers with the solendoids attached?

If I leave them attached, when cleaning with the recommended Loctite products, would you recommend taping over the solenoids to provent any damage?

Thank you very much...WOW you have grealy helped me with this project. Yes, I will take as many pictures as possible and report back on how it went. I don't plan to start on this project for a another couple of weeks so I should have plenty of time to purchase the supplies and tools!

I dived into MB WIS and pulled out some documents that should use for you.

If you can apply the sealant carefully and correctly, that's not a big deal.
